Described as Scotland in miniature. Mountains, sheep and whiskey. An Airbnb in a pretty terrace with 3 separate bedrooms is £501 in a place called Lamlash.

You catch the ferry from Ardrossan Harbour on the main land to Brodick on the island. It will be about £60 (I did Friday afternoon returning Monday morning).

We’d spend a bit more money on petrol but 560 + 60 = 620. That’s£ 207 each.
