This is my quick research into what I found look at a weekend in Berlin.
Package weekend breaks
TUI : £295.99 each. It is Tuesday to Friday (13th to 16th Sept) via EasyJet. Best Western Hotel City Ost. Switching to hotel Come Inn Berlin Kurfurstendamm Opera is £338 which is nicer hotel. The first one people report lots of road noise.
Flights
Easyjet
EasyJet flies from Luton to Berlin pretty regularly.
You can fly slightly cheaper is you want to be at the airport for 5am and not take an overhead bag.
These seats have slightly more legroom because they were the ones on the wing but you also get the overhead bag option.
Note: This is a Thursday flight as there was no option fly at a civilised time on a Friday.
Ryanair
Ryanair flies from East Midland airport which is probably the best from an equal location point of view. They only fly on Fridays and Mondays and are expensive.
British Airways
British Airways flies from Heathrow and Gatwick but the most reasonable flights were £477(leaving from LHR and returning to LGW)
You get a cabin bag (so it’s like for like with the others).
Hotels
Radisson Collection Hotel, Berlin
This is the one Len likes as it has a giant fish tank in the middle of the bar called “AquaDom” which sounds like a fetish thing to me. Maybe this is why he likes it.
These are the cheapest rooms they have for the easyJet Thu-Sun dates. They are room only
